A waterworks-improvement construction project in Tucson, Arizona was undertaken during the Great Depression with the aid of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds. The PWA supplied a $226,636 grant; the total cost of the project was $493,325. Work occurred between August 1938 and November 1939.
