Description
A substantial waterworks construction project in Granite Falls, North Carolina was enabled by federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds during the Great Depression. The PWA provided a $41,500 loan and $16,830 outright grant to the community for the project, whose total cost was $59,053. Construction began in January 1934.
