Description
In 1936, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) assisted the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) in laying a 36″ diameter water main from 25th Avenue and East 20th St in Oakland to Estudillo Boulevard in San Leandro.
Running more than five miles, the water pipeline replaced infrastructure that had been put in place almost fifty years earlier.
