Description

A sign near the bathhouse reads: “The bathhouse was completed in 1937 by CCC men from the Clayton CCC camp. The Forest Service guard at the Bonanza Guard station was then responsible for maintaining the facility. The bathhouse fell into disrepair during the War years due to the lack of personnel and maintenance funds. The structure is now preserved as a historic tribute to CCC craftsmanship.”
