Description
State Highway 78 Bridge at the Red River connects Bryan County, OK with Fannin County, TX. It was listed on The National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 1996. It was a National Recovery Secondary project.
“Constructed during the years 1937 & 1938, State Highway #78 bridge is a rare example of a bridge with K-truss through and camelback pony spans. It is significant for its engineering design and as a significant federal relief project.” (http://www.ocgi.okstate.edu)
