Description
Among the Works Progress Administration (WPA) projects identified as completed in a Abilene Daily Reporter article from June 14, 1936 was “installation of a water system at the fish hatchery” in Cisco, Texas. “The hatchery water system was installed at a cost of $4500 and provided work for 30 men for a period of six months.”
The hatchery is long closed, and its former location is presently unknown to Living New Deal.
