I am disabled and live in Weston WV and have to travel through the route they are doing this work. This is the worst waste of public money I have ever seen. They are taking out perfectly functional ramps and replacing them with curbing and relocating the ramps so they no longer are in the path of the sidewalk.
One of the ramps makes me come off the sidewalk into the Main Street just to cross a small side road I always used to just cross straight across before they removed my ramp and replaced it with a curbing.
Horrible planning I am so frustrated and when I ask about the safety issue they just tell me it is in compliance with the ADA. Well hogwash to that I know the ADA would not be that willfully strict that they would endanger people like me who are disabled.
