Description
The Civil Works Administration (CWA) provided labor to undertake numerous municipal improvements in Amherst, Ohio, among which was painting the community’s historic school building. CWA workers also repaired desks and bathroom fixtures.
The former school building is located at the northwest corner of Franklin Ave. and Church St.
