Description
The Works Progress Administration built a school and gymnasium in Woodson TX in 1935.
Two story center building appears to be the gymnasium. Wings on either side would be the classrooms and offices.
Excerpt from newspaper clipping of Austin American-Statesman 9/30/1935: “Throckmorton county: Woodson – Construct gymnasium and school building. Federal Funds, $11,087; sponsor’s contribution $1,961.”
