Pond Road Construction: Started October 20, 1939, to February 4, 1940. One and three-fourths miles of right-of-way cut. One mile of road ditched. One mile of shoulders built. Two thousand eight hundred feet of base gravel, . 54 mile. Culverts installed for l l/2 miles of road, (8 culverts). Opened two new gravel pits.
Federal costs to Feb 4, 1940, trucks and labor … $7,632.92
Town costs to Feb 4, 1940, trucks, tools, gravel, culverts and power shovel ………… 3,512.40
