Description
The federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) conducted work at Dinosaur National Monument at and near the Dinosaur Quarry at the western entrance to the monument, near Jensen, Utah. WPA workers constructed a 535-foot drainage ditch, about 8 feet wide at bottom and 12 feet wide at top, faced with large, mortared sandstone blocks.
A bridge carries Quarry entrance road across the ditch. A verbal source on-site believes the bridge was also a New Deal construction project, but we have not been able to confirm that.
