Post Office Mural – Tuskegee AL

Description

Section of Fine Arts mural entitled “The Road to Tuskegee” painted in 1937 by Anne Goldthwaite. It was restored and moved to the new Tuskegee post office in 1996.

“In addition to depicting local scenes, Goldthwaite, a Montgomery artist, used the suggested Section theme of postal history for her Tuskegee panel, as she did with her other mural in Atmore.”
