George Kanelous painted the tempera mural “Early Paper Making” in 1941. It still resides above the Postmaster’s door at the East Walpole post office.

    I lived nearby for years, and the post office was a functioning one for everyone in the neighborhood. I always enjoyed seeing the mural on the entire to the right when I entered.

  2. Bruce Handler

    I had the pleasure of working on projects with George in 1978 and worked for his son around the same time. Still own a toy illustration that he did for LJN Toys.
