"Recreation Hours"
Description
The historic post office building in East Rochester, New York houses an example of New Deal artwork: “Recreation Hours,” commissioned by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts. The oil-on-canvas mural was in storage in the post office basement for many years until it was re-discovered and restored; it was reinstalled in the post office lobby in June 2003.
