Description

The mural “Daniel Boone on a Hunting Trip to Watauga County” was commissioned by the federal Treasury Section of Fine Arts and installed in Boone, North Carolina’s historic downtown post office building in 1940.

    The correct spelling of the location for Boone’s hunting trip is “Watauga.”
