Description
Re: a photograph “taken in 1944 in what is now the Popular Library of the main Burroughs-Saden Branch of the Bridgeport Public Library at Broad and State streets in downtown Bridgeport … [in what] was the library’s children’s room… The murals in the corner were painted as a Works Progress Administration project, according to Mary Witkowski, who heads the library’s historical collections. “It’s still there,” she said.”
