Description

The New Deal mural “Peach Orchard” was created for the then-new Batesburg, South Carolina post office. It was painted in 1941 by Irving A. Block.

In the 1980s, the cities of Batesburg & Leesville combined into one city and a new post office was constructed. As of 2013, the old New Deal Batesburg post office had been sold and left vacant by its new owners.
