“The federal government’s New Deal programs, specifically the Works Progress Administration and the Public Works Administration, also played a direct role in Rock Hill’s economic recovery. Building projects included … a new City Hall building …”
The PWA supplied a $45,617 grant for the construction of the city hall/jail, whose total cost was $119,441. Construction began October 1936 and was completed October 1937.

Rock Hill has a new City Hall building; the exact location and status of the New Deal City Hall is unknown to Living New Deal.
