This mural is painted on canvas, applied to the wall. Appears oil, not tempera.

Does anyone have any information about the artist?
Yes. He was my grandfather.
He was also my father Leonard J. Doyle’s best man. He died of a rare condition that used to affect gold- and silversmiths before adequate ventilation was generally adopted.
Donald P. Humphrey was my father who passed away when he was 46 in St. Cloud, Mn.. He painted, sculpted and his main medium was with hammered silver , a technique he learned in Mexico. He made chalices, and wedding rings. He was an artist in residence at St. Benedicts in St. Joseph MN. for a few years. His wife, Mary Alice gave birth to 8 children. They were active in the Catholic Worker in WS, and frequently hosted Dorothy Day at their home in St. Cloud. They belonged to a large community of local artists who met regularly to share inspiration.
