Description
The Maurice Compris, tural triptych depicts “Education,” “Commerce,” and “Industry.” It was dedicated as a memorial to Leighton Brown, class of 1915, who died in World War I. Originally displayed in Newton High School library, moved to Newton North cafeteria, and now in the new Newton North building.

Some present day articles refer to the mural as a WPA project but it was a Federal Arts Project assignment.
