Municipal Shops – Binghamton NY

Description

The caption on the federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) photo above reads:

“City of Binghamton’s municipal shops. Started by TERA [Temporary Emergency Relief Administration] and completed by WPA September 2, 1936.”

TERA was a program created by Franklin D. Roosevelt prior to his presidency, when he was still Governor of New York (The Social Welfare History Project).

More information is needed to determine the current status and location of this project.
