Description
The New Deal early on was involved in helping this small rural town (est. 1680) which only had a population of 569 in 1930.

The school superintendent in a lengthy report gives a mention to the New Deal “The Federal Relief Program even recognizes the importance of adult education and guidance so we cannot consider curtailing the advantages for those who are immature in all respects.”
