Pursuant to the vote taken by the town the Federal Project No. 1028R was completed.
The water main extension was finished and service started in May 1936.
The electric line extension to Long Pond was finished and service started July 3, 1936.
The total estimated cost of project as approved by the P.W.A. Office was $6,360.00 the federal share to be 45% of the total actual cost. This project was completed at a cost of $5,139.28 in accordance with the rules and specifications of the Federal government, was audited and approved by them July 18, 1936 and the government’s share of the cost paid to the town treasurer. “WATER COMMISSIONERS’ REPORT
New water main put in this year from the main street to residence of H. B. Currier and two hydrants installed. This was done under the W. P. A. deal at a total cost of $2,009.98 of which the government paid $904.49 leaving balance of $1,105.49 paid by the town.”
