Description
Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania’s historic Municipal Building was built between November 1938 and September 1939. Construction of the new city hall was enabled by a Public Works Administration (PWA) grant. The Beaux Arts building, designed by George M. Ewing, is “an imposing building built in a classical Egyptian-Greek Revival style set upon a high podium entered by symmetrical formal staircases.” It is still in service.
