Description
This Lagunitas picnic shelter near Fairfax, California was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1936.
Lake Lagunitas Picnic Area is on the lands of the Marin Municipal Water District’s Mount Tamalpais watershed.

The location indicated for the CCC-built Lake Lagunitas Picnic Shelter is incorrect. It is closer to (37.9477425,-122.5957492).

The shelter and Lake Lagunitas is NOT at Mount Tamalpais State Park. It is located on the Marin Municipal Water District’s Mount Tamalpais Watershed. The majority of Mount Tamalpais is managed by MMWD, not state parks.
