Description
This 9′ x 14’3″ oil on canvas mural “Net Menders” by Jim Fitzgerald was painted with funding from the WPA Federal Art Project. It was originally installed at North High School. It now hangs on the wall behind the bar in the Portola Restaurant inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Pretty sure this is gone or is at least not visible. I asked staff about it in June 2021 and they said it’s not there.
I stand corrected! I got to the right person at the Aquarium and it’s there, in the restaurant. The restaurant was closed when I was there during COVID’s shelter in place, but It is there and on view if the restaurant is open.
