Description
Monroe, Connecticut received a school building, which Living New Deal believes to be Monroe Elementary School, as a federal Public Works Administration (P.W.A.)-sponsored project. The P.W.A. supplied a $26,860 grant for the project, whose total cost was $98,402. Construction occurred between Sept. 1934 and Jun. 1935. The facility has since been expanded and also houses district offices.
