Main Post Office – St. Louis MO

Description

This large post office was constructed by the US Treasury Department between 1935 and 1937. Note the extensive use of inlaid depictions of postal service, state of the art at the time. Inside, the grillwork is lush as are the center islands where patrons were able to fill out forms, etc.
