Description
The federal Works Progress Administration worked to improve the facilities of Luke Easter Park in Cleveland. “Ten baseball diamonds were later added, along with clay tennis courts, a football field, a running track, an office and service building, and landscaping. Much of this work was done in 1936 under the WPA.”

Hi — just wanted to mention that the use of “Luke Easter Park” in this post is anachronistic, as the park in question was earlier named Woodland Hills Park and remained so until 1980 until it was renamed in honor of this Negro Leagues baseball star. It looks like you have the source above (may be an old link) but I’m reproducing it here just in case: https://case.edu/ech/articles/l/luke-easter-park
Also, I know of some pictures of the park from that era (1930s), but I’m not sure if they depict the specific WPA improvements, nor do I know offhand what the status of the rights are. If you can give me more information about what assurances you need to post images (i.e. what permissions do you need) and whether you specifically require a depiction of the New Deal-related project or would accept something more general, I could pass that information and/or the images along.
