Description
Honokaa Public Library was constructed as a Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) project during the Great Depression. Construction is sometimes mis-attributed to the Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.), as it is on a plaque on the building. The library, which was designed by Harry K. Stewart, was completed in 1936. The building used the same design as the Molokai Public Library.
