Woonsocket, RI: A Centennial History, states:
The Woonsocket Call of September 28, 1935, reported that “work was started on the first five WPA projects in Woonsocket, giving employment to 300 men.” Logee and Larch Streets and Rhodes Avenue were graded; Thomas Street was paved; and Cass Park athletic fields were completed.
