This steel and concrete bridge was constructed in 1937 through the Public Works Administration (PWA) for a cost of $108,729.44 (PWA grant, $10,636.00; Federal-State Highway Funds, $32,593.44; City of Reno, $65,500.00).

  1. This bridge was replaced with a new bridge as part of the City of Reno bridge reconstruction project. Unlike the Central Street Bridge to the south which still has the bridge date plaque preserved, the newer Lake Street Bridge doesn’t have any original remnant of the bridge from 1937.
