Description

The Lafayette School (now Lafayette Elementary School) in Long Beach CA was built in 1936.   It is almost certainly a New Deal structure, because the Public Works Administration (PWA) made the reconstruction of schools in Southern California a priority after the Long Beach earthquake of 1933.  This needs confirmation.
