The current information isn’t quite right; the PWA did not fund the building of the school, but only financed minor repair. It should read:

The Kamas 6-room grade school was built in 1904 with rock and brick furnished by the school trustees. The school was funded by $10,000 in bonds.

In 1935, the Public Works Administration funded “school repairs” to the Kamas Grade School including roof framing, shingles, flue repair, and foundation plastering under Docket # 1023-R (Utah). The architect of record for the repairs was Ashton and Evans, and the contractor was Shaw and Berntson. The total cost was $17,735 including the repairs at Kamas Grade School and repairs and alterations at Woodland Grade School.

    My sources are:
    * Local briefs. (1904, May 21). Park Record
    * New school at Kamas. (1935, Nov 29). Park Record.
    * Notice. (1903, Jun 5). Deseret Evening News.
    * Special Collections, Ashton & Evans collection [unprocessed blueprints]. J. Willard Marriott Library, The University of Utah.
