Description
Interchange Bridge, which carries Cross County Parkway across the Bronx River Parkway at the western border of Mount Vernon, New York (at Yonkers) was constructed during the Great Depression with the aid of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds. The PWA supplied a $62,424 grant; the total cost of the project was $88,695. Construction occurred between August 1938 and November 1939.
The concrete arch bridge, whose total length is 690 feet, was rehabilitated in 1985.
