The Customs House Immigration Station at High Springs, VT was actually constructed in 1935 and demolished in 2005. The contract to build the structure was awarded by the Treasury Dept. on 24 Oct 1934 to W. H. Trumbull of Hanover, NH. His contract bid of $67,628.32 for the Customs House included the construction of 4 cottages for the use of Customs Officers. A 1935 photo of the completed Customs House is available and I will provide it at the webmaster’s request.
Thank you, Gary. We’d love to see the photos of the Customs House.
