Montana’s Big Timber Pioneer newspaper reported:
“Fort Missoula is to be allotted $93,165 from war department and WPA funds, Mayor Dwight N. Mason announced. The money, for repairs and installation of heating plants at the fort, was obtained through the efforts of the military affairs committee of the Missoula Chamber of Commerce and the city council.”
