Description
The construction of the westbound span of this bridge taking Highway 40 (Interstate 64) over the Missouri River was funded by the Public Works Administration in 1935. The Kansas City Bridge Company was the contractor of record. The eastbound span was built in 1989.
The original Depression-era span was demolished in the 2016 and replaced.
