Description
The WPA made numerous improvements to the rapidly growing Creedmoor Psychiatric Hospital in Jamaica, New York during the 1930s. Projects included: the installation of “underground piping for heating”; “excavation and construction of steam tunnels”; the “planting of trees and shrubs”; grading the hospital’s grounds; fencing the grounds; constructing “additions to [the] shop building” as well as to garages and to the “South wing”; and more.
