Description
The Works Progress Administration (WPA) improved a segment of Concord Avenue N, from North Capitol Street to Third Street. This was a WPA curb and gutter project: “This constitutes the first step in the development of this roadway to connect North Capitol Street and Georgia Avenue.”
Concord Avenue was later renamed Michigan Avenue and further improvements have been made.
