In 1962 someone left something on the stove, which caught the inside of the building on fire. Altough some people tried to put it out not much could be done. Most of it was rebuilt but due to damages and cost it became much smaller then it was in the buildings prime. Today their is little left of the original town but the city hall is still living on 172 North Second Street in Pembina. I can probably find some old photos from the History of Pembina book I have.
