Description

A three-piece fresco was painted byEdwin Boyd Johnson in 1936 for Sioux Falls’s brand-new city hall. The work is still extant and housed in the Commissioners Room.

Source notes

Edwin Boyd Johnson was my great uncle, and a WPA artist. Years ago, I found an online article about this mural. I called City Hall to confirm its existence, then travelled to Sioux Falls to view the murals.
