City Hall Improvements – New Rochelle NY

Description

The federal Work Projects Administration worked to improve New Rochelle’s, New York’s city hall during the 1930s.

One project, which involved numerous municipal buildings in New Rochelle, was described by the WPA in its project rolls: “Work includes performing carpentry, masonry, and sheet metal work; excavating and constructing walls; painting, placing tile, and roofing.”
