Description
The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed the stone gymnasium structure at Blowing Rock School. It was one of many educational facilities constructed by the WPA in Watauga County. The WPA also constructed a “well-planned” playground.
The school facility has since been largely demolished and replaced, though the WPA gymnasium still remains.
