Description

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was very active in Rocky Mountain National Park during the 1930s. The Bear Lake Comfort Station, located on the Bear Lake trail, is one of the many structures in the park built by CCC enrollees.

The rubblestone construction is typical of national park Rustic Style of the first half of the 20th century.

The building now serves to house a generator.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
