Description
The historic Baytown Historical Museum building was originally constructed in 1936 as the city’s post office and Federal Building. Construction was funded by the federal Treasury Department. The building houses an example of New Deal artwork.

This was built as the Goose Creek Post Office. Facilities were combined in 1948 for Goose Creek and Baytown. Goose Creek Post Office was renamed Baytown Post Office and the original Baytown post office was renamed ” Station A”
