Description
The Winooski River Local Protection Project in Vermont, a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) undertaking, entailed “replacing an old timber dam at Montpelier by a small concrete dam (now called Bailey Dam) with tainter gates.”
The project is located on the Winooski River west of Main Street. It was built sometime between 1934 and 1938.
