Auburn State Prison
Description
Then known as Auburn State Prison, the Auburn Correctional Facility received a sizable expansion as a result of a $226,000 federal Public Works Administration grant during the 1930s. PWA Federal Docket No. 3248 (NY).
Specific construction included “accommodations for inmates, incinerator, connecting corridors and guard house.”
