Description
The striking PWA Moderne-style National Guard Armory in Hiawatha, Kansas was constructed in 1938 by the Works progress Administration (WPA). The armory is still in service. According to News-Press Now, “a plaque on the National Guard Armory credits the Works Progress Administration for its construction in 1939.”
