Description
The mural “Daily Bread” — currently on display at the Algona Public Library — was completed with New Deal funds in 1941.
The painting by Francis Robert White, formerly in the Algona Iowa post office, moved to the Algona Public Library. When the library was being remodeled, the mural was relocated to the Algona City Hall, where it is on display in the Algona city council chambers. City Hall is located at 112 W. Call Street, Algona, IA 50511.
